Academic Pronunciation - the basics

Welcome to our bi-monthly newsletter #6. This article is a lesson I often use in my academic speaking classes to introduce phonetic symbols and the importance of using dictionaries to help with correct pronunciation. It starts with 10 difficult general English words to pronounce like 'recipe, aisle, ballet, etc..' and then goes into more academic words 'analysis, synthesis, territory, etc..'. All exercises include word and sentence practice. There's even a video lesson too. Enjoy!

Regards,
