Academic Writing Error Correction
Hi everyone,
Welcome to our last newsletter of 2024 and it's a BIG THANK YOU for supporting us this year - it's truly appreciated!! To show our appreciation, we've included a free error correction lesson in this email (see below).

This month we've created 6x Error Correction Lessons on a range of current topics (CRISPR, Generation AI, The Paper Ceiling, Life on Other Planets, Smart Cities and Weight Loss Drugs) which all include sentence and text- level exercises. These lessons are based on dialogic feedback using an error correction code.

Dialogic Feedback

What is dialogic feedback?
At a very basic level, when the teacher corrects a student's writing, the teacher is doing all the work and the student is not learning from their mistakes, so dialogic feedback puts the responsibility of correcting the mistakes and learning from the mistakes back onto the student.

What's an error correction code?
An error correction code uses symbols and abbreviations to underline students mistakes in a student's writing. The student needs to understand the code to be able to correct the mistakes.
